Did you guys see that big fight this past weekend? What a letdown of a main event. If you don't know what I'm talking about, get out from under your rock. Anyway, let's get to some e-mails!Michael writes:"I just sent you an e-mail a couple of days ago, and now the new trailer is up. The animation and art style are fantastic, as is the humor. By the looks of it, you have really created a living cartoon. Now, here are the things I was disappointed to see:1. The girl doing the pose (and her overdone hairstyle).2. The bear/dog faced humoniod (WTF?!?!)3. This is a minor one: the kicks. You are the guys that made Fight Night 3, there is TONS of room for arcade-style gameplay and slapstick humor within the confines of great punches and shuffling feet.Until the official trailer, I thought this was going to be a humorous arcade boxer game. I realize now, this is a wild brawler game.Just my two cents, and also, for those exact reasons, I am sure there are many who will be turned ON to it.Michael"Michael,Thanks for the open-mind about the game so far. For this, I reward you with a response directly from our Producer / Lead Designer on FaceBreaker: Todd Batty"Hi Michael, thanks for the email and good to hear you are excited about FaceBreaker. Our Art Director will definitely be happy to hear your comments regarding the art style and I have to agree with you, the game definitely does feel like a living cartoon/comic book.In regards to your concerns, rest assured there is no bear/dog faced humanoid in our cast of characters. The shot you are referring to is of a 300 pound witch doctor with war paint on his face who is very much human. The girl, which you'll find out about later, is one of our female characters, and I'm sure she could care less if you don't like her hairstyle. ;-) She is a true wolf in sheep's clothing. As for the fact that some characters mix up their attacks with kicks and other less boxing-centric moves, we really wanted to push the boundaries of arcade-style boxing and felt that using different styles of attacks helped us to remain true to the characters we have created. It really keeps the action fresh and exciting and did, in fact, help us to push the humorous style of the game.We established some early ground rules that everyone in the game would wear boxing gloves and that all of the action would take place in a boxing ring, but beyond that we did not want to be limited by the actual rules of the sport. The net result is something less safe than you might expect from EA - FaceBreaker, and not Fight Night Big. It's a really fast, approachable, super high octane fighting experience and I think you're really going to like it.Thanks again for the feedback, keep it coming.Todd Batty, Producer/Lead Designer"There you go Michael.
